Chapter Five

A Mysterious Boy

As they walked towards the Northern Wolf Demon Tribe Vincent saw his comrades dead by the entrance gate. Vincent was shocked when they entered the village. Almost all of the wolf demons were splattered in blood dead on the ground.

“Who would do this?” quivered Vincent.

Vincent heard a noise coming from the center of the village. He ran off leaving the others behind. When he got to the center of the village he saw a small elfish boy crying. He had small pitch black angel wings and an unknown demon earring. Vincent bent down level to the boy. He got a closer look at his face under his left eye was a symbol. Vincent had seen that symbol some where before, but he couldn’t place where. Cari and the others had caught up with Vincent. Cari saw the red haired boy. The expression on his face was the same when Cari lost one of her friends. She knew that he had lost some one important in his life.

“Hey, are you lost?” Cari asked to the boy.

She had startled him. The boy said, “Yes, I lost my brother his name is Shantae.”

“I know how you feel I lost my brother as well. His name is Shin’ichi,” said Cari.

“I don’t know where I am or how I got here,” said the boy.

“But where’s you parents?”

“They died years ago in an accident.”

“What is your name?”

“Xeon.”

Fate had heard a noise in one of the houses. She ran over to one of the homes, and she saw a fast figure moving around. While the others were talking to Xeon she went into the house. The fast figure had darted up the stairs. As Fate followed it up the stairs the floor had caved in. The hole was the size of an elephant.

“Do you remember anything like where you live of where you are from?” Asked Cari

“No, my parents had died when I was very small. And my brother was separated from me when there was an earthquake,” Xeon said to Cari.

“But do you know who had slain all for the Wolves in this sector?” asked Vincent.

“All I saw was a tall figure with a long black cloak and stretchy fingers,” Xeon said.
