Chapter Fifteen

A good Kanae?

“Stop him!” Said a guard.

A dark figure ran out of the Fire Temple.

“Sir, he has stolen the Jewel of Demon Souls,” said the guard.

“WHAT!” Yelled Xeon.

“Xeon, do you want me to go after him,” asked a figure lurking in the shadows.

“Yes, and bring him to me alive,” said Xeon.

“Good, I lost them,” said Yakani.

“There he is! Get him,” shouted a soldier.

“Shit!” Yelled Yakani.

Yakani ran toward the main gate of Suna. He raised his hands and a portal had opened.

“See ya losers,” Yakani said as he jumped through the portal to the Demon Realm.

“Perfect,” said Shaun.

“Heh, they can’t follow me to the Demon Realm,” said Yakani.

“I can’t believe that they are late,” said a tall figure.

In the distance she could see a figure running. As the figure got closer she could tell that the figure was a male. He had long red hair flowing in the winds’ direction.

“Gah, where did they come from,” said the tall figure.

“Cari!” Yelled Tara.

“Tara I’m over here” said Cari.

“Ca-Chan what are you looking at?” Asked Tara.

“Some guy running away from something Tara,” Cari answered.

“Where are the others,” asked Tara.

“Late,” replied Cari.

“Ah! They followed me!” Yelled Yakani.

“Found him,” said Shaun.

“They must really want this stone. Huh. I wonder what it does any ways,” said Yakani to himself. “Hey you two over there can you help me?” Yakani asked.

“Is he talking to us Cari,” puzzled Tara.

“I guess so because we are the only ones here,” replied Cari.

“We better help him before he gets killed,” said Tara.

“Come on,” said Cari as she drew her sword.

Cari charged up to Yakani with Tara right behind her. Tara looked up at Yakani. His red hair flowed in the wind as he was running, with his big blue eyes looking forward to see where he was going.

Cari had stopped to meet up with the creature that was chasing Yakani. The creature was wearing the same cloak that the Kanae wear. The creature got closer and closer to Cari. She saw a symbol on the chest of his cloak it was the mark of the Kanae.

As the creature got closer to Cari, he didn’t look like a Kanae. Cari looked at him, he had mid length silver hair. She could see the darkness in his eyes. He wasn’t wearing the hood like the other Kanae.

He stopped and said, “Get out of the way. I’m not after you I am after the boy.”

“Why, what did he do,” said Cari.

“He has stolen something important from my people,” he said.

“What is it may I ask,” said Cari.

“If you must know, it is the Jewel of Demon Souls,” he replied.

“I am sorry but the boy doesn’t have anything like that on him” said Cari, “May I ask of you name?”

“The names Shaun. And our people had seen him steel the jewel,” said Shaun.

“What the Land of Suna. Please if he does have it on him I doubt that he would give it up,” said Cari.

“Please I do not want to hurt you. I am only after the boy,” Shaun said.

“I know that! But you will not hurt any Demons. You are a Kanae sent on destroying the Demon race,” said Cari.

“How do you know that? Who are you?” Asked Shaun.

“You will know that in time,” said Cari.

Fate, Tara, Vincent, Shin’ichi, and Yina had appeared around Cari. Cari turned around and faced the Eastern Wolf Tribe.
