Chapter Fourteen
Yina’s past
Yina was sitting up on a rock, and started to remember the good days when Cari didn’t have to burden all of this
pain. It was eleven years ago before all of the Kanae incidents had happened. It was a cool autumn day in Yikanari Forest.
“Come on Cari hurry up,” yelled Yina.
“Na-Sama you’re running too fast,” Cari cried out.
Yina had stopped and turned around to wait for Cari. Cari was running towards Yina with her head facing the ground. When
she looked up, Yina was smiling down at her. Yina’s hair flowed in the wind’s breeze on a warms autumn day. Her
eyes were green as the grass, and her hair was at mid length a dark green color.
“Thanks Na-Sama,” said Cari as she was gasping for air.
“Ca-Chan,” Yina began.
“Huh?” Asked Cari.
“You need to pace yourself. What I mean is that you use up all of your energy at once,” said Yina.
Cari looked up into the autumn sky and said, “I really want to become strong as I possibly can. I really don’t
have a lot of stamina.”
As the wind current got stronger Cari continued to gaze up into the sky.
“Earth and Fire are our elements. I wonder why we got these powers. What are we supposed to do with these powers?”
Asked Cari.
“But, I think that we are kind of lucky,” said Yina.
“Huh? What do you mean by that?” Asked Cari.
“Well our powers brought us together. Do you remember that day?” Asked Yina.
“Yeah, it was three years ago. And it was on a snowy night,” Cari said, “I was so cold and alone. Demons
were walking past me but they didn’t even notice that I was there. It seemed that I was in a never-ending nightmare.”
“Yeah, Tara and I were playing with our ball that day. Heh Tara lost control of the ball. It rolled over to you and
that was that,” said Yina.
“Yep, I don’t really know but we are friends,” said Cari.
“Best friends,” replied Yina.

Five Years Later
“Hey Cari, where’s Tara,” asked Yina.
“Yina...Tara died. I’m sorry,” Cari said slowly.
“NO! How?” Asked Yina.
“The creatures of Darkness. They call themselves the Kanae,” said Cari.
“Why? What did they have against Tara!” Yelled Yina.
“It wasn’t just Tara. They want to kill all of the Demons,” said Cari.
“Will they come after me?” Asked Yina.
“Probably, Yina,” said Cari.

One Year Later
“Yina be careful today. The Kanae might come after you,” said Cari.
“Right,” said Yina.
The sky had become pitch black on a sunny day. Dark gray storm clouds came out of no where. A bolt of lighting came out
of the sky and struck the planet. Smoke had appeared with a creature lurking in the middle of it.
“Perfect,” it said.
“Yina run get out of here!” Yelled Cari.
“Right,” said Yina as she started to run.
“Ha! Hell no you are going to run away,” said the Kanae.
The Kanae lifted its’ arm and a bolt of lighting had struck Yina. Yina let out a loud yell as the lighting hit her
body.

Five Years Later
“Fire Lord! Demons are coming this way,” said Yina.
